How far up the bank are you expecting it to get?

Tim, could you attach some 2x4's on the 4x4's to extend the height?

        Good luck Sir!

Dang shame the Nueces won’t be dumping any water in to Choke.

Hope you get everything out in time.

Hopefully Lake Corpus Christi will catch some of that water. It is really low right now.

All under the walkway. Maybe a few inches over the planks you walk on. Or to the bottom of the first set of stairs.

I think if it gets that high the leverage pushing would be too much.

It's all going to Lake Mathis or CC. I'm on the river that's lake level.

could you anchor the dock to a tree upstream to keep it sorta in one place? But from what I remember(foggy), there may not be a suitable tree close by...

It's very hard to predict water max level. May be higher than I thought.

There are trees along the bank. Could work if the water doesn't go above the top of the 4x4s. Will do that for sure when I know it won't get that high.

Taking the boat so I can catch fish once water levels peak. But that may depend on water clarity and debris. Usually log jams come down first and then it's boatable.

That’s a pretty cool design for that area.

Good luck! At least the water is progressing downstream slowly, so you can plan your dock moves and fishing attack out accordingling. The lake has plenty of storage.
