I think you’re right. I’m also learning that the bands on Chihuahuan spurs are thicker, clunkier. It’s fun trying to figure this out. My luck it’s a toy spur made in the 70’s.
It’s not a toy spur. Mexican made. Most likely band and shank were hand forged from one piece of steel. Value is next to nothing but a very cool piece that is rare that is worth holding on to

For sure a keeper just because my dad found and kept it for years. I told my brother I’d put in a shadow box and hang at the ranch.
