8.2 what? The only Ford anything I can think of referred to as a 8.2, is a 221-302 engine block, those are known as 8.2 deck engines. Because of the deck height.

The V10s are 6.8s, I have one. The largest common factory engine they made was the 460, typically, those are considered 7.5s. There was a Lincoln 462, if I remember correctly, but only Lincoln. But that would not be close to a 8.2. Then they made some 494s for racing only, no production versions. Then there was the big WWII Sherman tank double over head cam engines, I think those were huge, I think something like 1100 cubic inches or something crazy.

I believe it would be an f250 in 7.3 or a 6.2.

Only 8.2 I know of is the old Detroit diesel ( fuel pinchers) in a F700
Chevy had a 8.1 vortec in 2500 and 3500

Your buddy probably has a f250 with a 6.2

Ford does not have a 2500? They offer an F150, half ton basically, a F250 3/4 ton and a F350 one ton and up from that. Besides a diesel 6.7 in the F250 and above they offer a 6.2 or 7.3 gas engine in the F250’s and bigger. I have the 7.3 gasser in a 2020 F350.
