Is CPAP worth loosing the beard?

Started CPAP a week ago and have tried two different masks with no success getting a good seal with either.

I'm not yet convinced it is doing any good for me yet... so...

Should I loose the beard I've been growing for years or make the best of it with a leaky mask?

I don't think its life and death in my case but looking younger is a good argument.

Start by trimming it. Short beard better than no beard.

You were younger when you didn’t have the beard 😄

Have you tried using just a nasal pillow?

try nasal pillow rather than the mask.
                  and, YES, it is

Nasal CPAP Masks are the most popular of all mask types & come in silicone, gel, or cloth styles. Shop top brands like Philips Respironics, ResMed, & more!

there are several styles out there

My prescription specifies it has to be a full face mask to be covered by insurance

The Nasal pillow works for me and never an issue with beard or mustache. If you have not tried give it a go. I have not used a mask in I don't know when.

You should be able to buy whatever mask/attachment that connects to the hose. They aren't that expensive.

That a good idea. I'll buy one to try out and then see about getting my prescription modified.
