Green grasses in Abilene?
04-09-2020, 11:51 AM
What are the green grasses in Abilene. I have green grass 10” high everywhere. Is this winter rye or actual grass that will make it in the summer
Can I let it grow and bail it?

It is winter grass. It will die once it warms up. More than likely a rye grass. Post a picture of said grass

Probably rescuegrass. But yes, it’s a cool season grass that should be going to seed now and will be gone in another month.

Yep. My yard has some, no clue where it came from but it'll die off when it heats up. Looks great right now though.

I seen that grass before and had an ideal that it’s green grass
