You will be happy with either. If you reload, buy the one that shoots the bullets you prefer. In my research, the Creedmoor held an edge at ultra long range, but they were very close at typical shooting distances. That said, all the cool kids have a 6.5 Creedmoor so there is that. I went with 6.5 PRC just to be different. Otherwise I was really struggling to select between the 6.5 and 7-08.

Like I previously said, I have both, and intend to keep both, and I really like both.
Ironically enough I was at Academy this morning after reading this thread. Here are pics of the availability of ammo in 7mm08 and 6.5 CM. There were three types of 7mm08 with a price range of $21-$30. There were 12 types of 6.5 CM with a price range of $17 - $33.
This isn't intended to sway people one way or the other, but it is something that may be important to people when making a decision.

Overall, I figured this post would be about what it is, on the fence. I guess I'm questioning when a company offers so few caliber's in a specific gun, why offer the 7mm-08 AND the 6.5 CM? If I was the person making that decision I'd just offer up the Snazzy Fad that is the 6.5 CM.
4 years ago you could call the CM a fad. Go to any box store and count the amount of factory ammo offered by caliber. It's far from a fad.
