Question bout AMO 52"

I was given a Bear bow that says AMO 52" but the string on it is 47 1/2" i was thinking the string needs to be bout 3" shorter than the AMO, NEED CLARIFICATION PLEASE

Normally, generally speaking, recurves strings are around 4" shorter than bow length.....your string is only 1/2" shorter and should work ok.....what is the brace height?
