Ok so I have a friend that has 1400 ac in a well known area that grows big deer. They have owned the place for 4 years and have fed record rack year round since they bought the place. I asked him if he has seen a difference since the day they bought it from today. He said no. I just got on a lease that buts up to a 20,000 ac highly managed ranch and would like to also improve our deer herd. I was talking to him to see if the antler growth increase with record rack and winter food plots. taking genetics and age out of the picture what gross big antlers? What is more important minerals or protein?
