    Searching for

I won a bunch of money playing poker at the casino last week and now searching for a new bow. I almost dropped the money on a new Mathews VX3, but I’ve really wanted to get a recurve and now doing some research and whatnot. I owned a Hoyt Buffalo at one time, killed a deer and pig with it but then sold it. Saying that, I’ve now been looking at the Hoyt Satori on and off for awhile, and am thinking this might be the route I am going.

I was thinking this route because of the IFL limbs and could easily switch out (probably right). With that said, anybody got any good or bad comments?

Ilf is handy but I just don’t prefer it I’m sure some can get them as quiet as a regular bow I just can’t. If I were dropping some cash right now I’d get a black widow because I’ve never owned one of their recurves.

If possible go to a trad only shoot and try out a lot of different bows. Most people would be happy to let you try theirs.

I don’t think those are happening much these days with COVID

I’m not sure I like these BWs as much as some. Owned one many years ago and it just wasn’t for me.

That’s why there are a million different guys out there making a million different bows!!!! No one on here can tell you what you will like, and what one guy says Is the best, the next guy says is trash!!!!

There are a lot of different bowyers right here in Tx making sweet bows. If you’ve already had a Hoyt, and know you liked it, then another Hoyt might be the way to start off. You will most likely find something you like better down the road, and just have to have it.

I had a Hoyt Buffalo that I could shoot “lights out”. I just prefer a more traditional bow. It’s all in what you want and feels best to you.
