I did a prescribed burn yesterday at my Oklahoma place, and this morning I started pushing up and piling tamaracks that didn’t burn. I’d been working about 4 hours when the tractor started billowing black smoke from under the hood. I grabbed my little dog and bailed out. We got about 50 yards away before something blew.
