JC ended his battle this morning around 3:15. I had a prayer request thread on here several months ago, because he was going in for his second brain surgery (thanks for all the prayers and well wishes). We had high hopes after the surgery, because the surgeon said he was pretty sure it was necrosis, and he got it all. Oncologist came back the next week and said that wasn't the case. Cancer came back stronger and faster. He quickly went downhill after that. They tried a few experimental treatments, but no success. Mentally, he was still sharp as a tack, but his motor skills faded fast. He moved back in with his mom (also a nurse), because his wife was overwhelmed with this and other things in life (not trying to bash her, she's young and under a lot of pressure). Hospice came in a couple weeks ago and made things much easier on him and the family. Definitely going to be missed, but so glad he's not suffering anymore.
