Incredible last week in Alaska!

Let me start by saying I am very blessed with incredible friends. Just got back from 7 days in Enchanted Lake Lodge in the Katmai national park. Caught a few Char and a few Lake trout but the emphasis was on rainbows and man they didn’t disappoint. The hatch was happening and we had several days with literally hundreds of rises. Caught 40-60 a day and the majority were 16” plus with numerous 22-24” fish. Biggest of the trip was 28”. I had never picked up a fly rod until last week but it won’t be the last time!

Same here. Enchanted Lake Lodge and is an incredible place. Every day is a float plane trip of about 8 hours. Trips vary from high level hiking to low level float trips. Being a newbie and fat old man, I opted for the easier trips and do not believe I missed out on a thing. Completely remote, 5 star lodge that has got customer service dialed in.
