When I read the question I automatically assumed wall pedestal. All of the taxidermists we use are $900-1000 for a wall ped whitetail but floor pedestals are pretty pricey and there are many variables such as type of base and whether it has habitat and how much. Varies from $2000-$2500 for wt floor ped.

Correct, wall pedestal.

Floor pedestals are a whole different animal in my mind. Those can vary greatly based on many variables.

Anyone know of a "cheap" place to get a regular shoulder mount done on a black buck? I have one that is decent but not a monster. I would like to get it mounted to put in a guest room or something. Doesn't need to be show quality.
