Could you put it on a timer so that it's only on when they get put up at night? That's when most (not all) chicken killers are out and about.

Very nice coop!! Timer idea on fence charger would work. Even took care of few snakes that tried to get in, find them dead grounding ours out. Great build, your kiddos gonna really enjoy those chicks! Fun project
