Brecks 2022 Gator Hunt

Religion, family, health and “Great Friends” are the key to a great life! No more on display than last weekend.

I was blessed to strike up a friendship through TBH with Mickey Phelan (TBH - gander) many years ago. Mickey has been inviting me to bring Breck down to Chambers/Jefferson County and hunt gators for the past few years, but with Brecks schedule it has made it almost impossible; that is until last weekend. Just so happened Brecks off weekend fell last Friday and we had Saturday and Sunday to get a gator in the boat.

I could not have asked for a better pre-hunt, hunt and post-hunt experience for Breck on his first gator hunt. Mickey, his family and friends are class acts and treated Breck like they had known him forever.

When your 17-year-old son looks you in the face and says “Dad, thanks for doing this for me” it makes this large world pretty small. I replied to him, none of this would have happened without having “Great Friends”!

Head cleaned and in the freezer, all meat cut up, packaged and in freezer. Will pick up hide for tanning from Mickey in a couple weeks.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves and continue to thank the Lord for such great friends.
