Lake Cooper state park youth hunt (semi live)

We took a chance and came down for a shot at a standby spot and got to hunt!!! The bag limit is two deer antlerless or spike and only one of those is allowed to be a spike.

We got dropped off at our stand a few minutes ago and have corn out at around 75 yards. Now it's just a waiting game.

It was raining very lightly off and on today up until we got ready to go out hunting. Hopefully it'll hold off until we're through hunting.

It's a hunt for this afternoon and up until 10 a.m in the morning.

Forgot to mention also I'm hunting with my son.

Our view to the front. Not much other than thicker timber to the left and right. We've already heard 3 shots from others.

Got a 4 point here. He's not legal on this hunt. He's really jumpy.

4 point didn't stay long. Never went to the corn. Nothing since then. I've heard 5 shots overall so far.

That happened really fast. 3 deer came out of nowhere. Son dropped one doe. Other deer took off. Hope they circle back around or another one comes in. It would be awesome to be tagged out tonight but I'm extremely grateful for the one he got and would be happy with just it!!!
