Do I need a picatinny riser?

I have a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 on a picatinny rail.

Problem is, I'm able to see the barrel in the scope while zoomed all the way out. Once I zoom out past the 1.5 mark, the barrel is out of visibility.

I have tried mounting the scope all the way forward & back with no success.

I was told I may need a 20 moa riser...

    What do y'all suggest?

Why does seeing the barrel matter?

Being able to see the barrel at 1power is a good thing. IMO.
You can add a front manual flip up sight and be able to co-witness at the 1x. At least if the scope fails you have the ability to see and use the flip up sight.

I see the barrel on my 375h&h when on 2x. Seemed wierd at first.

You will rarely if ever shoot below 3x

Thanks everyone! Sounds like it's not an issue.

That would bug me. I do not see my handguard on similar setups. Does that scope base have 20moa built-in? What is the part number/Manufacturer?
