I went the cheap route but it is one accurate machine. Double stack .45 RIA 1911A2 or 2011 whichever you prefer. Adjustable sights and 14+1 capacity. Ambidextrous safety. Did not require a spring change to shoot .45 super ammo. It's heavy but not an EDC for me. Just for fun at the range and punching out the center of targets. $850 plus the governor's cut.

Awesome pistols! I've been thinking about going a cheaper route and trying out the new Springfield Prodigy 1911DS. I don't own a full frame gun, so it would fit into my collection nicely.

Listed this one on Gunbroker last night, love the fit but it's a little fancy for an everyday carry

I carry mine...what they are for.

I think the EDC & Staccato have the best of all worlds for those who love the 1911...hi cap 9mm in a moderate sized carry with 1911 muscle memory.

Great find!! I believe the Tuxedos are now discontinued- which is a huge bummer.

I'll play. Here's some of mine. I love those six inch 10mm's. There's a couple of 9mm's, 40's, and .38 supers as well. And one .45 acp.

Can't believe I left this one out. This was my first one from STI when you could order one direct from them. It's in .38 super. Many an animal has shed it's life blood from this one. I remember guiding a yankee who wanted to know why I carried a handgun since you can't hit anything with one. We came upon a group of javelina roughly 100 yards away. I asked him if he wanted to bet that I couldn't hit one. He said $100. I cracked one right in the noggin. Let him keep his money but he was pretty quiet the rest of the hunt. That was worth more than the money. Little did he know that I practiced daily and could hit a 6 inch plate with a rest at that distance pretty well every time.

Just imagine all the stories he told his friends back home about the crack shot Texan that molly-whopped the Javi 100 yards away

I watched those sell yesterday. I bought a few things on Tuesday, surprised at the prices. More of a buyers auction this time.

Here's an interesting 1911 that I had never run across before...supposedly it came with two springs so you could also shoot 38spl.

STOP IT!
I just had to buy a 4" caliber tree installed to replace my dead Blaze Maple.
I can't be buying guns for a while.

My only 2011... I have (had, I mean after the boating accident), a few 1911's, but just never took a liking to 'em... Still have my TBH special purchase STI...

This one is a special commemorative for the 101st Airborne... Talk about pullin' your pants down if you carry it, this sucker is heavy when filled up with 240 gr HP's! Sweet shooter, but just a safe queen...
