You may have the new record for asking about the Bownanza date.

Itís kind of like the first person who claims the rut has started every August.

Hopefully we will find out sooner than later this year. I always like to plan for it.

No...and not sure we will be able to pull it off this year. There aren't any parks allowing the amount of people for a gathering that we would have. I'm monitoring it....but, not holding my breath on getting a date for this March.

Since 'public gatherings' are questionable this year....who's ranch or lease are we meeting at?!

See if we can find a member who is willing to let us use their ranch as a gathering site.

I doubt someone would be willing to accept the liability of a bunch of strangers on their property. Iíve only been on the forum for 18 months or so. I really wanted to attend Ďnanza last year but had a scheduling conflict. I was adamant about making it this year, but it looks like thatís going to be a bust. If it gets worked out somehow, someway, Iíd love to attend.

This is a think outside the box group... maybe something like headwaterssaloon.com in harper. Few cabins, lots of outdoor space and covered pavilion. Some of these places are hurting with covid restrictions and may be willing to negotiate

We don't need no stinkin park to tell us we can or can not get together. Like someone else already mentioned.....time to think outside the box.

Not a terrible idea at all. We used to stay at a place called Roddy Tree in Ingram for family reunions. They had a bunch of different cabins of different sizes and accommodations, a pool, the River, tons of green space. Something along those lines would be great and maybe an alternative. I donít know what typical turnout is for Bownanza, but something along those lines could work.

Rats! We pulled out last year at the last minute due to wifey's worry over the virus, and was concerned that this year might have to be cancelled.

I was really looking forward to going this year and meeting a few whom I have not met. I also wanted to give those who I have recently pizzed off an opportunity to feel better by whupping my arse!

In Franklin Tx 45 minutes north of Bryan Texas. Have an AirBNB that will Sleep 8-10 and a hunters cabin that will sleep 6 and a whole bunch of pasture for cooking and congregating!

I have a few options in lampasas that we may be able to work out. 1800 acres and 400 acres. Both have onsite lodging for about 20 people.

I'm sure we would give all options outside of park rental a good thought. One thing to think about (and very important)....we need to have a hotel/motel VERY close by for a lot of people. In year's past, we have had those that drive from all over the state stay one night, if not two. Lodging would be the most critical part to consider.

It would be difficult to gauge this year...it could be 50 - 350. I couldn't even make a guess at it this year.

We have used Parks and Rec previously, so acreage is not actually needed.
