Disclaimer- this buck came off of a high fence ranch in East Texas. If you disagree with it then move on.

Now that is over, I had a ball at High Roller Hunting with great friends this weekend. After two sits I was able to connect with my personal best buck. I could of shot much bigger but I like the typical frame deer and passed on numerous other there after seeing him the first morning but not getting a shot. Saturday afternoon he came in and again no shot was presented so I watched him walk away. An hour later I saw him coming down the trail behind the blind and I was able to get situated for a shot and took advantage. I was able to watch him fall insight after a well placed arrow.

Not knocking a buck like this. Absolute stud. I’d love to hunt one that big with a bow someday.
I’m just curious though, how old if that deer? He looks real young in the face. Do they really grow that big that young? Or am I just way off here.

Either way, congrats and hope I can hang one in the wall that big some day. Just gotta get the kids through college first. Haha
