If the playoff was expanded; would players stay on the team, not opt out, and make the bowls mean more?

It definitely would reduce the number opt outs. I think the majority of these kids would play if the game meant something.

I have never been a Herman fan and want him gone also, but if he gets fired who out there would be better? I would love Urban Meyer to coach at Texas but I am not sure he wants that gig. I think he has USC in his sights.

I totally understand the kids opting out on the deeznuts bowl and what-not, but I don't get them not playing in the NY6 bowls when your team is playing for a final top 10, spot.

Not really anyone other than Urban. No way he takes USC over Texas. Well, maybe less stress but not winning a championship would tarnish his image.
