Pronghorn massacre

Anybody else seen this? Happened in Canada, but just crazy how many from a single herd got skimmed by a single train. Watch the video, like bugs to a windshield. Probably 50+ got taken out in just a few seconds.

I thought an antelope’s eyes were positioned on their skull in such a way they could basically see behind them.

Crazy they just keep running straight away no matter what.

Hope they salvaged the meat and used it for homeless shelters or needy families.

Happens frequently. Snow impedes travel off of the tracks. Trucks take out lots up here.
We've had fences , sheep wire, keep hundreds of pronghorn from migrating and dying right at the fence.

No fun to find several pronghorn laying in the ditch barely alive after a truck goes through them. Thankfully GW let me put them out of their misery. Not a pretty sight.
