My kids drew the youth either sex hunt right after Christmas. We are coming down from Colorado. This thread has been helpful thanks.

A couple of questions. How do they decide the compartments I saw a couple old posts that it was the number of your license is that still the case?

I was there for the December 4-7 archery hunt and hunted the East Guajalote (the SE portion with youth blinds 307, 308, 352, and 349). I did see two shooter bucks that were mature and several young deer and some great 3 1/2 yr olds. I did not release an arrow. Passed on a 3 1/2 gr old 8 pt and 10 pt. If you select this pasture I can give you my thoughts. I can check this forum on Tuesday after y’alls orientation if anyone from TBH selects this compartment and wishes to talk.

I had a awesome time and had deer within bow range every hunt. Layout the corn and put up cameras as stated previously by others. I hunted one general area on Both the west and east side of the big draw within the compartment.

It was a challenging hunt and have no regrets for passing on deer.
