LeBlanc's Cajun kitchen out in Blanchard is our favorite and beats Shrimp Boat Manny's all day long. Patron's by Brookshire Bros is our go to for Mexican food and is better than Pueblo Viejo in our opinion. The Hitchin' Post on 350 South has good burgers. Florida's used to be good but it has went downhill and is still riding on what they used to be. The Blue Duck is ok. I've only been there once and the burger was pretty good but not great. The buffet out at the Naskilla Casino on the Res east of town is supposed to be good. My Mom and Dad go over there some. There is a bowling alley west of Walmart on 190, plenty of fishing opportunities, and not much else without a bit of a drive. There isn't a lot to do in our little town like there is in Lufkin or Humble but we like it that way. More to do means more people.

If you like rocks and minerals drive 15 miles out to Indian springs. Mr Johnson who is in his mid 90s has a great rock shop. Interesting old fellow too.
