How hard was it to protect the scope during the paint work?

Not hard at all. The scope was in the house attached to the barrel and action. the stock was hanging out side on a bungee strap. LOL

I just pull the stock off the gun before I started painting it. But now Im considering painting the scope as well.

This usually isn't my thing, but I really like the look of this one. Great work!

I know it's a month old post but this other link has some good instructions as well. Similar project.

Looks great, OP. I'm looking to do my RAP but am afraid I'd muck it up.

Man I was a little skeptical myself, but after doing it the first time I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Its basically fool proof.

Yeah PigSticker64 has an old savage that I may do a test run on. That's encouraging to hear.

That’s a well done job! I’ve been looking at these stock painting threads looking to paint my Rem stock. Too nervous I’ll mess it up!!

It’s held up pretty well over the course of this season.
