Thinking about buying a cowboy hat. Nothing fancy and expensive, just something to keep in the truck and wear when driving around and out in the sun.
Any suggestions on what brand/style/material and where to get one?

Hard to beat the sun body palm leaf hats on price and durability, but they feel like you’re wearing a toboggan with a brick tied to it.

Id go with a good quality Resistol straw, that's my preference for durability and fit. Prices vary on all makers, depending on the quality and weave of the straw, much like the beaver felt content in a felt hat. Palm for me is too heavy and too **** hot.

Go to Buc-EEs and get a straw hat from there. Got mine for about $25, fits good and after a year of wear when working in the yard and around, looks the same as the day I bought it.

I love my palm leaf hats.

I've been wearing the same Atwood for about 10 years or so now. It's still holding up fine, and I wear it often. This is the one I keep in the truck. I wear it to play golf too.

I got a Sunbody hat with a big brim a couple years back. It's really fantastic when outside working. It's like wearing a big beach umbrella on my head, I'm always in the shade.
