Lease mate just shot at a good buck. 160ish 10. Deer on left.
He said at 20 yard quartering away. He saw the arrow go in and almost pass threw. He thought the shot was good being behind the shoulder. He thought it was 3 inches to high. The deer mule kicked jumped out of pen. And he heard it busting thru the brush and a crash. After going to the pen no blood. He walked to where he thought it hit the brush. No blood no arrow.

I told him to let it lay and wait for the morning.

Sounds like high lung. Prolly no immediate blood until cavity fills up. I would say go get him if he's confident in this shot.

No such thing as "No mans land, The Void, etc...." "IF" he hit it where he described and buried that deep, deer is dead. Go get the deer or realize the shot wasn't as described.
