Sorry to hear the lake flooded, if anyone can catch crappie under those conditions it will be you and Clay. Good luck.

I just checked the weather forecast for Lufkin. It looks like a 50% chance of rain all week next week, including next weekend.

Give me rain over windy any day!

Just bought a propane griddle - should be delivered in a few days (I had been wanting one anyway). Looks like we can maybe organize some burgers and sausages contributions and cooking for Friday night for 2 dozen will be a breeze. We'll keep the sides simple.

Sweet! I'll see if I have any boudin left in my freezer. May have ate it all. Been a while since I made a trip home to reload!

Otherwise I'll definitely bring stuff to contribute. Maybe some squirrels? Got a few of those fresh in the freezer.

Once you see them Michael Jackson moves that unkle pat busts loose on the bow, you'll see how he could easily fall off.

I do hear by apologize to @Radar for thinking he actually pushed or tarpon rod whacked sfk off his own boat

Hogslayer is gonna bring one set of corn hole/bags. I've got my block rocker speaker for some tunes. It will be tuned into whatever Slew wants to hear Saturday night while he frys! Friday will be jukebox open!

I just called and the lady said there are several grills around. I'm in cabin 9 and she said there was one nearby. She said they can be moved around if needed.
I asked if their ramp was usable with the high water and her reply was "oh yeah". She said the lake is about 6 feet high.

There ramp would still be usable at 10ft high lol along with Cassel Boykins ramp which is just over the bridge. Hopefully it will drop a few feet in the next week though.

My son got new jigs and colors tied up for the trip the last few days. The round heads are 1/8oz and the wedge heads are 1/16oz. Should have plenty tied and a variety of colors by Thursday when we head out

Yesterday was a dink fest on waco. Fished a few hours with the kids. 6 keepers. Probably 15-18 throwbacks. Most came from some brush off the bank in about 4' of water where the river has risen up.

Fun time! Ready for Rayburn!

bentman, hogslayer already signed up to bring plastic forks and aluminum pans. Please choose something else, or check with him to work out who is bringing what.

We still have a lot of items needed. If you haven't signed up yet, please do.
