We had a feed pen hogs got into and they were in it every night and the deer in that particular pen rarely touched it. Every night on camera the pile would go down after the pigs left. They returned night after night for about a month til it was gone.

Various opinions and experiences on the cotton seed topic. Is there a biologist on here that could chime in??

Friend of mine owns an ag supply house and he sells a feeder mix of cleaned cotton seed and corn that supposedly the hogs and 'coons won't eat---but at $15/40 lbs I'm not willing to try.

Just like with the " cotton seed makes deer sterile " myth, it would have to make up 70% of their diet to have an effect on them.
