Lepomis Gulosus appears to me but easier to ID when they are larger.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say green sunfish.

They're the reason our cat likes to go fishing with us. They multiply fast and I usually throw em on the bank. They are fun to catch though. Used to have some friends that liked to put out traps in my tank when they were running trot lines.

Been catching em for years....I was told they are rockbass. Been calling them that forever. Glad someone new the real name. They are fun to catch and aggressive.

That aint a rock bass, they look similar to a smallmouth bass but smaller.

My Grandpa called them sun grannies. They make ok live bait, they live along time with hook in front of the tail. Aint as good as shad.
