Alaska mid May trip

Getting to go to Anchorage for a few days. Anyone have any sites to see or day trips?? Places to stay or eat ?

There's been quite a few threads on this recently.

But to save you some searching... how many days, what kinda shape are you in and what are you interested in? Will you have transportation?

I can't help you on where to stay, but go by moose's tooth or humpys for some food. Get a t-shirt at the Great ABC. Drive out to girdwood and grab a beer at alyeska on the top of the tram, keep going to turnagain and the wildlife park. Countless hiking in town and nearby. Day trip to talkeetna or even Seward or kenai if you don't mind driving.

Uncle Joe's in Anchorage is better pizza, just doesn't have the atmosphere.... or beer.
