Hogs are as thick as ever on my Polk County lease. We had a guy that donated a LOT to our NWTF Montgomery County Chapter that went on a disappointing guided night hog hunt in South Texas. I took him to the lease last February for 2 days...he went home with 10 hogs in the cooler.

Soil test on my Polk County lease recommended 2 tons of lime per acre. Hard to get a good food plot in the pines without putting in some work on the dirt.

Plots are looking good. That seems to be the average of lime per acre in the pines.

You on a lease? If so what's the name of it. I got a couple of co-worker that hunt around there. Don't remember the name of their lease but I can find out. I think their gate is about a mile north of black Creek.

I hunt the Ruby Hunting club lease in Polk County on FM 1276 and the Dolen pits lease in Liberty county.

Those pit leases are absolutely loaded with animals.... far and away the most game rich area as I’ve ever seen.

Pine Ridge Hunting Club borders my lease on Dennis mainline Rd and FM 2798. I'm north of them.

I am near Camden. Little piece of acreage in the pines but nearly surrounded by a big club. Won't be getting in a stand until after mid-October but I haven't had much on camera anyway. The week before Halloween has always been the best for us.
