It's all on you Chase. I tagged out this morning. I just wish his rack matched his body size. 236 on the hoof, dressed 180.
Following along and waiting to see you post up a Toad...

It's been a busy day, but I'm back at it. Got down for a wind switch, turned into grocery run, maintenance on buggy, trailing and skinning a doe a friend shot, to now back in a tree. New set on a choke point between a creek bank, cut corn, and big timber. I passed 4 or 5 fresh scrapes walking in. They're opening up everywhere. The big buck I saw this morning probably could have been shot from the stand I'm in. Saw another real big deer in this block of timber about 1/2 mile north of here around lunch today. Keith is at the railroad about a 3/4 of a mile south of me on same creek. He's where the big buck looked like he was headed. Anyhow, here's a few pics of my set.

The witching hour, or whacking hour, is close! Good luck!

Cat came and ran coons back up the tree and a doe and yearling passed on other side of creek.

Sorry for the hiatus this morning, been covered up since I got here. In the same place I started and I've seen or heard every rutting activity known except breeding. Chasing, grunting, snort wheeze, doe bleats, scrapes, rubs, fights, roar sounding grunt. You name it, it's happened within 30 yards of me this morning. But no shooters.

2 fawns bedded under me now. Can't get a good pic, too much brush.

Good luck. I took a great buck Tuesday. Same unit you’re in. Buddy is still after them. Haven’t seen any mature deer since Thursday morning.

This guy just eased back thru. Checked these fawns, grabbed a few acorns and mozied on.
