Assembly
I took my JC Higgins model 45 30/30 apart and parts just started falling out

Any local guys who know Marlin lever actions pretty well who can reassemble it? It’s almost identical to Marlin 336 30/30

Probably the ejector. it just sits in the side of the receiver.

I put it back together... BUT, the lever gets stuck closed. I have to open the pivot screw every time to get it out and the it gets stuck again as soon as I close it... what gives?

Have you looked up a youtube to make sure you got it back together rite?
If i recall correctly there is 2 pieces to it. Get both fit right?
I can't imagine getting it in wrong and it even closing, but.......
Lots of video on installing the ejector.

All cleaned oiled and put together

it was actually REALLY easy to put back together. I just panicked because a couple of parts fell out without me seeing where they came from. Once I looked at the manual online and a couple of YouTube Videos I put it together pretty quick. I actually did it again 3 more times after that to make sure I got it down. Kudos to Marlin, for such an old gun they made it simple.
