We did a public duck hunting trip this year in Kansas. Had a blast. A couple days we walked some fields and tried the pheasant thing. I could see where it could be alot of fun also. Congrats on the birds.

We killed about the same each day as in this pic. On some tracts the birds let you walk by and flushed behind you (or not). Other times they flushed 100 yards out. I'm a novice so I couldn't tell if it had something to do with the wind (calm one day, windy the next) or that some WIHAs had been hunted more.

Late season birds are wiley smart runners. Blockers are a must. Did you have dogs working too?
