I loved the write up Ron and am glad to know more about you. There are quite a few similarities in our chilhood upbringing that I would have never guessed.

Thanks for sharing with us here. I always enjoy your post. You have come a long way in a year my friend with the traditional equipment. When you posted the turkey with your longbow I knew then that you're a serious hunter. Those ole turkeys present a true challenge for the compound hunters as well as the shot gunners. Take care brother.

Thank you Ben, the words of encouragement from you and others on this forum are all one needs for success in bow hunting. The amazing thing for me is that I had never killed a turkey with a bow after 38 years of bow hunting, then I killed two this year with a longbow

Pretty cool idea..are the members signing the bow with name(handle)& date?
I think that would be pretty neat to see who's all had it. Then after it's ran it's course put it up for auction to a charity of the member's choice.

Just a thought.

Mike the bow comes with a log book and a photo album. Everyones signs the book when they receive the bow and adds pictures of themselves with the bow. It's a traveling history of the bow.

Well, there will be a short delay on the travels of the bow. Got a call from Curt just a few minutes ago and he said he recieved the bow with part of the upper limb tip overlay missing. Said he could not find it in the bag. Don't know what happened but told him to send it to me and I would make the repair and get it back to him asap. He sent pics, just the upper piece of the tip was missing. Not a difficult fix. Will repair post haste and get her back on the move. Sorry about the delay guys. Bob

Oh no.Was the box damaged or something when it arrived? I had put it the same box that it was shipped to me in, with plenty of packing.

Back home for a night and headed out tomorrow. Will Return on Wednesday and begin shooting. My name is Curt aka Uncle Saggy (thanks birddogss) and I originate from Chicago Ill. After High School I enlisted in the Army and served my time as a Crewchief on a UH-1 Huey. My wife Robin and I lived in Richmond Ill before moving to Arkansas in 1999, we owned our house several years before moving there. We have a little bit of property and a cabin on Calico Mtn, where Sacagawea will be this weekend. I went through the gamut of pipefitter, boilermaker, hvac. sheetmetal, electrician, etc......I am now a service sales rep/service account manager for United Technologies Corp. Basically involved in project development, design and sales of plant upgrades for our existing accounts concerning mechanical upgrades and maintenance. As for hunting....90% of my family immigrated from Poland and Prussia to the U.P. of Michigan, which is where my dad drug me along every deer season and summer since I was able to travel without mom being along. He passed of a heart attack my first day of basic, but to this day I say hello to him as soon as my *** hits my treestand or the ground each morning I hunt. I am 47 years old, turning 48 in August.
Bold statement here but I am taking next week off to brush hog and then head a little west to be the first to take an animal both right and left handed with this bow.....btw...i'm a lefty....wish me luck!

Ok I just got home from work and much to my surprise I have a box from curt. Assuming it was the bow I opened it up and its the arrows anyways ill have to get my fiancée to pick the bow up tomorrow from out local post office.....ill also try to write my Bio tonight or tomorrow.
