    Baby copperhead

I guess with all the rain from the tropical storm dumped on us, they’re looking for high ground! First venomous snake killed in 7 years at my place. Walked outside and he was hangin on the front porch! Gonna have to be extra careful with the little ones running around.

Dang man. Be careful. That rain probably does have critters stirred up.

                        What is a whit tail?

Whit tail season is almost here!

Wrong, it’s a cottonmouth. The tail is a yellow color. Also the pattern is not even close to a Pygmy.

Juvenile cottonmouths and juvenile copperheads both have yellow tails so thats not even a factor. The color patterns are similar also. Here is a pic of a juvenile cottonmouth I took a few weeks ago at the lease laying in a shallow creek. Im going with cottonmouth.
