Figured if you kept a bait active they might stick around & maybe some others would show up. Have some friends that live near Clayton & they do very well baiting them.

I am into the first 7 days of my 14 day camera survey. All of my mowing will take place next weekend to prep for the spraying and then for planting on Labor day! Opener is just around the corner fellas!

Definitely got some regulars. That 8 finished out nicely!! A cob, or an opened pine cone would be nice too.

Made a quick trip to the land today just to pull the cards and feed the fish. With all of my project properties going I am struggling to find the time! Same old crew as usual! We will just have to see what the rut bring in

Mowed and sprayed two weeks ago and was able to get it all plowed up and planted yesterday! I am sure happy to get that finished and look forward to only having the odds and ends left to accomplish before season

Just upgraded with a new, "to me", tractor and trailer to add to the tool box! John Deere 5203 with loader and a 20ft Kearney Goose-neck with 5 ft dovetail/ramps and 2 10K lb axles to accommodate future equipment purchases! Looking forward to the improved efficiency that this acquisition is going to bring

The conclusion of deer season brings the start of project season! I decided to add a 16X60X12 overhang off the rear of the shop with an additional personnel door! I think the extra dry storage for some upcoming equipment additions will be welcomed Just a little more trim work on the exposed end and this addition will be a wrap! Looking forward to freeing up some shop space

My plan consisted of hinge-cutting most tree's with less than a 12-inch diameter to increase horizontal cover for bedding and girdling select tree's that had over a 12-inch diameter to open up the canopy. My girdling mixture consisted of 50% Garlon 3A, 40% Water, and 10% Arsenal AC. This mixture has proven to kill even the most stubborn of tree's! The purpose of this project was to increase bedding cover, expand the crowns of the mature hardwoods that were left, and inspire new forbe production by increasing sunlight penetration to the forest floor. My plan is to incorporate one of these areas for every 50 to 75 acres of land to increase my lack of bedding cover! If you guys ever need herbicides check the company out below! They are awesome

I like the ideal of additional bedding by selective cutting. I believe you will be shocked at the amount of new browse you get by doing so.

Going to be an unreal spring natural food plot.....

I am really looking forward to the result! Being able to increase both bedding cover and browse will be killing two birds with one stone

The thinning looks good. I know it made a difference on our place when we thinned/cut out cedars as far as browse went.

Moved an existing stand about 40 yards to a new tree in order to adjust to the movement I observed this past season. With a little trimming I now have four really good lanes and that should really payoff!

I relocated the clover plot stand about 20 yards to a large Cedar tree which will provide a better vantage point and a lot more cover! Hopefully, the new change will give me greater freedom of movement when the plot is full of deer

Another day, another new set Finally had the time to set up a tree stand in a place that I have been intending to since I got the place! This location is an area I call the runway and the last three years have consistently shown that this segment is the most heavily traveled! It also helps that there is a perfect tree to utilize If this social distancing things keeps up, I am going to run out of trees

With the addition of another tree stand I thought why not add another Antler Shed Ended up placing it on the north end of a very long food plot placed in between two thickets. The placement allowed me to cut a trail right to the back door allowing for an easy entry and exit! Its always good to have options
