Free Venison - Albany,TX area

To meet our MLD quota, we are ending up with more deer in the cooler than we can easily find homes for.

We have been donating extra deer not otherwise spoken for to hunters for the hungry through our local processor, but with the processing fees involved for the donations it is turning into a real expense.

I am trying to locate additional outlets for free venison. Every deer is always properly tagged, gutted, washed out, and hung in the walk in cooler after cleaning.

Ideally, I am looking for someone who would meet myself, or our ranch manager, at the ranch South of Albany, after a hunting weekend, to pick up however many deer we have left to donate.
We’d just text you and work out a pick up time.

We are 10 minutes from Albany, 30 minutes from Breckenridge, Cisco, Eastland, and less than 45 from Abilene.

Im not sure how far you are from Crockett county, but they have a deer fest there every year where they donate to help people that otherwise cant afford it. I am fortunate to get to hunt a 30,000 acre MLD place in Ozona once a year. We donate most every deer killed during that time to them. Im not even sure who to contact other than maybe Ozona city maybe. Just a thought.
