Shot him about 5 mins before dark on 11/4.
Hadnt seen a deer the entire evening and was dreaming about the cold beer waiting on me when I was done.
I was hunting a cedar draw below a few cut milo fields.
I heard some noise and knew it was a deer. A doe ran in under me. She was at the ladder when I first saw her. The hair on her back was ruffled up like she had front feet there a few mins prior. Based on that and how she was acting, I knew a buck was with her. She then turned and hauled rear out of there. I heard a sound that I have nvr heard before im the woods. It sounded similar to a snort wheeze but it was different. I could hear him making a scrape. He was close. Real close but I couldnt see him. With all of this noise, I grabbed my bow. He stepped out, stopped and presented me with a 24 yd shot. The Rage did what it was supposed to do. He ran about 125 yds. Had he not went down in a low spot, I would have watched him fall. I heard him fall and knew where he was.

Now, my freezer is nearly full and my taxidermy bill got a little higher!
