Lots of scrapes all of a sudden over the last week or two.

I have a feeling we have some fawns crossing the weight threshold and are coming into season.

This partnered with some bucks that have lost their antlers.

    Interesting times.

Buddy of mine shot a big cull 6-point this evening. His antlers were definitely a bit wiggly.

You sure having a stud like Tony over checking on your wife is a good idea???? I mean it kinda looks like she is smiling AT Tony instead of for the camera .... nah shes just happy with that stud. Lol

In 11 traps for hogs I’ve got 20+ deer crawling threw gate that’s below knee height to get in.... and the pigs are jumping my feed pens to eat there

I have 1 yearling that has bald spots where he has shed. Seen 2 LARGE rubs today running coon traps

Sounds like species-identity dysphoria. There's umpteen human genders apparently, so why not pigs and deer?

Evidently you've got a few too many does.

Made one more trip to the lease before we called it a season today. Buck sightings were sparse as per usual for me this year, but I did get one more doe for the freezer. Shot her in the neck so I could save the heart and am really looking forward to that.

I’ve got some good things planned for next year and am really excited about getting started.

Still at it. Probably give it one more weekend.

The bucks were definitely hungry Friday and Saturday. You couldn’t beat them off the feed either day. Surprisingly, most are still holding on to their horns. Only a couple have dropped that I have been seeing.

Sunday was a little slower, but the wind was way up. Say a bunch of fawns and a doe playing leap frog over the yellow corn road. It was comical to watch.

Looking for a lease around SETX. Orange, Newton, Jasper or Hardin counties. PM with any info, thanks!

I figure in another 3 weeks or so half the bucks will be without them. But that just means it’s closer to growing season once again.
