Coon Destroyed Trap

My dad has been after a coon that killed some of his birds (duck and turkey) recently. He set out a live animal trap last night and woke up to this. Any suggestions?

Try staking the trap down so the coon can't shake it, etc.

LOL. That's exactly what my dad said. Did I mention that the birds were completely drained of blood and had two holes near the neck.

Pretty sure. They have seen coyotes around too in the past. What else do you think it may be?

Might be a coyote, only one way to find out sit outside with a spotlight and a .22
