Who all plants them? What do you plant, and when do you plant it? I've done Japanese millet in the past but cant remember when I planted it.

Jap millet, milo, foxtail millet, barnyard grass are all good as well as a bunch of others. Turner Seed has a blend I believe they sell...

                    CHUFA ? Read this today

“” Duck ponds which can be drained and planted during summer and flooded during winter provide excellent habitat for waterfowl. Chufa can be planted from April through July and requires 90 to 100 days to mature. Planting chufa from June 20 through July 10 will reduce weed and insect pressure to the plants.May 8, 2015“”

Believe it or not, one of the most amazing days i ever saw was over a peanut field in Gorman Tx back when i was in Jr High. The amount of geese and ducks was amazing and the sound was deafening. Now that Birdsong Peanuts is shutdown, or at least scaled back, i have not seen the birds like that since. They landed in the field directly next to my Grandfathers house and it was awesome.

They’ll also tear up some cubed up sweet taters.

We killed some dry ground ducks in peanuts outside of Vernon when I was young. It was incredible.

I have never seen a mallard land on dry ground like that. All of my previous duck hunting was done over stock tanks or marsh. That was the high point of my duck hunting days, lol. Now I'm lucky to even see a couple greenies a season
