    Attic Fan to Shop/Barn Fan

This was an old attic fan that we "Upcycled" for Shop/Barn Fan. We encased in 3/4" Plywood. Cleaned off and killed the rust. I've always loved old military plane props(hence the colors we choose for paint). bought a cheap motor and pulley from TSC. Then covered with wire mesh.

It moves a lot of air quietly!

    Here's video of process:

        Thanks!

It's been a "staple" in the barn this summer!

Great looking fan. Love the prop look. I am in the process of redoing one from my dad's old feed store. Keeping it rusty, but making a new plywood box. My question for you is, what motor did you get? I had to trash mine.
          Thanks.

We had the old motor and name plate on it. We were lucky to find out that Grainger carried the same motor for replacement. Pretty sure TSC has a large selection as well.

                Thanks!!

Only change, wish I'd used a variable speed motor.

I’m sure you could put a rheostat on it…..
