and the worst news of all is that they are showing up at night. Grab your spotlight and a thermos of coffee my friend. You need to hit em hard before they season so maybe they will stay away for awhile.

Sounds like a nap in the daytime is in order. Then go out and get in a tripod with a hog light on your bow or feeder and start whacking them.

Fortunately, we have not seen any hogs on our place yet, but we have sen road kill several times within a couple of miles, so it is just a matter of time. We will declare war on 'em when they do show up.
We have a huge turkey problem, which is almost as bad becasue the deer never see the corn if the turkeys get there first, which is most of the time.

You could just feed in the morining for a while. They might get the picture and leave but I've not had too many hog encounters and don't know if that would work or not.

In any case best of luck to ya.

I'm thinking seriousily about putting pens around our cornslingers. I have a protein feeder with hog panels around it. I get a few pics with hogs right behind the pen and deer standing in the pen looking at them. The deer know that hogs aren't gonna get in the pen (so far anyway) and they will stay. But much like you they run the deer off of the other feeders at our place too. I'm thinking if I put the slingers in pens as well, maybe I'll actually draw more deer & less hogs. Maybe leave one feeder w/o a pen as say a dedicated hog huntin stand??

Puttin pressure on these at my place just makes them go nocturnal. They don't leave.

I've hunted and killed them at night also, but it just makes them change the time they come in.

Is it legal to hunt with a fully automatic ak47??? i would think empting a couple of clips into em at feeding time would take care of the problem for a while. the big problem is they breed like roaches and they'll be back.

If I wanted a hog that bad I would rather go pay to kill one than have them on my place.

Hogs what was God thinking? Perhaps He wants more bowhunters. Or something for kids to shoot during the off season and spark the hunting fire.
