Thermacell has to be my number one as well of equipment that is a "luxury"....obviously a bow or gun beats it but they are a necessity, not a luxury.
The fresh earth pads are awesome and really do smell like freshly dug earth. I ma glad they work because that is about all my local Academy stocks.
My dad, who hunts east Texas SWEARS by the unscented one with just a touch of doe urine scent applied to them. He swears that it works by using the heat to help vaporize and spread the doe urine scent. I ain't sure I believe him but I aint gonna call the ole man a liar. I'll just stick with the fresh earth scented pads
