Looks like diesel will soon be in short supply. Prices may rise to $10 a gallon by the end of summer. Expect even higher inflation.

We got several 2500 gallon tanks but doesn't last us long! We've even started running red in all our machines because it's just a little cheaper.

No doubt this is partially current events. But you can pump all the oil you want out of the ground and not help at all. The epa/feds/etc. have made it to where building a new refinery can’t be done profitabley. I’m all for
Clean air and clean water but if people can’t afford food they will not give a crud

That might be a problem, we’ve got 36 irrigation laterals and pivots running pretty much non stop for the last 2 months because it’s been so dry. 30 wells also running non-stop, probably burning 20,000+ gallons a week watering turf grass and corn.

I ordered a 7.3 gasser in October, and it just showed up last Saturday. Picked it up today, and got out of my diesel F350 at perfect timing it seems. Still have me a great trade value today. I’ve seen dealers already start lowballing diesels bad in the pst few days.

Gasoline is delivered by diesel trucks. It’s going to cost more as well. Along with everything else.

I have a diesel F250 which is not my daily driver but it will suck filling it up when I have to.

On the other hand I work for a company that owns a lot of refineries and makes diesel fuel. So I am sure we will have an excellent year.

This is my only worry these days. Diesel price up high like this is a big problem

I ran the numbers every way I could when I bought my last truck (F250). Even pulling a trailer several times a week, diesel just didn't make sense. All the guys driving suburbs to downtown every day in their cool 250/350 diesel are griping more than the guys that legitimately need a diesel.

I am in the fuel business , and it has been a challenge for a while now . For the most part everyone has allocation issues at the terminals , we can’t just pull what we want everyday anymore . I deal in transport loads ( 7500 gal ) at a time and there have been Days lately where I have had to send my trucks to different terminals as my suppliers where out of diesel ! Trucks are lined up at 6am trying to get diesel
Before you get cut off for the day . It has to correct itself
Or else we are in big trouble if this continues ….

I have life time average of 13.2 over 190k on my ‘15 6.7. My ‘10 had life time average of 13.7 over 200k

11-12mpg at gas prices vs diesel is a significant savings on 30k miles a year

I've been holding off for over a year thinking the same thing. There has to be some come up for sell that have all highway miles and never pulled a goosneck.

How many politicians have investments in green energy? I wonder why we worry bout our epa standards but we buy so much junk from countries that pollute the planet and abuse their laborers in factories but we just keep on allowing our politicians to run our country as they see fit. Just my 2 cents

I don’t drive a diesel but EVERYTHING I use or have was delivered by one…or actually several. The fuel i burn in my vehicles is a small part of the fuel it takes for me to live life the way I do

Trains run on diesel. Big farming equipment runs on diesel. Some planes run on diesel. And of course, diesel trucks that transport food and goods, run on diesel. Diesel is a big part of the transportation industry. Raising diesel prices will hurt big business. Not just what you drive.

I don't see any change till the current administration is changed. And my diesel truck tanks have been full since Jan. I don't use it daily. I've got a lil gas miser for day to day activities.

I’ve been out mowing down thick brush and thorns with a HD batwing mower and cab tractor. It’s probably going to take a year or more to finish this. These climbing fuel prices may cause a delay in plans.
