If annoying relatives give your young kids toys for birthdays and Christmas that make a LOT of noise, it’s an easy fix. Take the toy apart and cover the internal speaker with electrical or duct tape. Put the toy back together and enjoy a MUCH quieter afternoon while your kid still gets to hear the noises.
As far as the power wheels goes, a couple of years ago I put a “turbo boost” button on my daughters 6V power wheels. I just used a 12v feeder battery hooked up to a couple of relays. The 6V side still worked, but it switched over to 12v when she hit the button. Here’s a 6V and 12v comparison……..
