Roasted Tomato Basil Soup

I had not had tomato soup(Campbells) since I was a kid and living at home. My wife was eating some brand the other day and said how good it was, so I told he I would make her some home made tomato soup. After looking online at recipes and videos this was my choice. It turned out much better that the soup my mother bought in a can though. I added 3 de-seeded jalapenos that were not called for in the recipe though. They were just enough for a little back heat.

I watched this video and then followed the recipe pretty close. Adding the jalapeno`s gave it a little heat that I really liked.

Excellent call on the jalapeños. I never have ‘mater soup without jalapeños and basil.
The toasted chess/ ham and cheese is a given.
