How did the Broadhead look after? Seem that it opened, missing blades, anything that stood out? Possible dull blades I guess, but like most others said, a FP coulda killed him with that shot it seems. That's pretty bizarre to me also. Looks like a $ shot and dead deer 99.9% of the time

I shot a doe in exact same spot few weeks ago with a slick trick mag, watched her slowly walk and stand around for near ten min about 60yds away thinking she would fall any minute. Could see the blood stream down her leg on exit wound side. Got shot on video also. She dropped some so it was about 2-3” higher than I like but still should have done the job in theV. Never found her because of sparse blood. I think I got a pic of her later that week with appeared to be a wound in the correct spot. Toughcritters for sure.

Was he shooting from an elevated position?

At least he wasn't quartering to the shooter. That seems to cause quite a stink on here nowadays.

Must have been just a tad high.

Good luck on another chance at him

I had this exact same thing happen on the biggest buck I will ever see in person. I drilled him at 12 yards from a ground position. It hurts.

It's because he wants to live more than you want him to die. They're tough.

A field point should kill with that shot placement
